Heart O' Lakes Harmony is a fun group of men who sing together in harmony to preserve the four-part, a cappella musical style known as barbershop harmony. Above is a picture from our recent spring show called "The Cotton Club" which we performed in both Fergus Falls and Detroit Lakes, MN. We had 40 members in the show along with contributing cast, instrumental, dance and vocal performers. The show was a great success and continues the HOLH tradition of singing well and providing quality entertainment for regional audiences. Please join us for future shows!
We are a local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, an international organization of 25,000 male singers in about 800 local chapters across North America. Our members come from all walks of life, but we rarely talk about what we do for a living--we're too busy having fun singing! Locally, most of us are residents of Otter Tail and Becker counties.
Our interim director is the talented Karl Haataja, a professional musician who directs, teaches, and inspires us to make great music at every performance. We perform throughout the year, singing for various civic and charitable organizations, private groups, churches, community events, and fundraisers.

We meet every Monday evening at Faith Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids, MN from 7:00-9:30 p.m. You're welcome to visit any time without obligation!
Also, each year we perform "Singing Valentines" on and around Valentine's Day, which is an incredible amount of fun for both singer and recipient alike. In addition, in an effort to stay committed to singing excellence, most every year we compete with other barbershop choruses in a friendly contest.
